Zhuqi Elementary School

Zhuqi Elementary is the township's namesake central school, with a centennial history — the exact founding date is not confirmed, but the school has celebrated its "百年校慶" (centennial celebration), placing its origins around 1924-1925 during the Japanese colonial era. As the anchor school of Zhuqi, the historic gateway to Alishan, it runs an English Village program and an art-talent special class alongside a children's orchestra that earned "special excellence" honors at the 114th academic year National Student Music Competition.

竹崎國小是竹崎鄉的核心代表學校，具有百年歷史——確切創校年份尚待考證，但學校已舉辦「百年校慶」，推估創立於日治時期大正13、14年（民國13、14年，約1924、1925年）左右。作為阿里山門戶竹崎鄉的核心學校，學校經營英語村課程與美術藝才班，兒童管弦樂團更於114學年度全國學生音樂比賽榮獲特優。
