The mother school of Zhuolan's mountain hamlets.

Pinglin Elementary traces its origins to the Japanese colonial era, when it began as a branch teaching site. Over the decades it grew into the "mother school" of several communities in Zhuolan Township, spinning off multiple branch schools that later became fully independent: the Caoliao Branch, now Jingshan Elementary School, and the Shuanglian Branch, now Shuanglian Elementary School. It also once oversaw the Baifan Branch, which was later transferred to Neiwan Elementary. The school is also known for its notable achievements in folk dragon-dance activities.
