Zhuang-Jing Elementary was founded in 2001 to serve the Zhongzheng Special District (中正特區), one of Taoyuan District's more affluent, purpose-planned residential and commercial zones. As of the 2022 school year, it enrolled 1,429 students across 54 classes with 93 teachers, making it a mid-to-large school by district standards. Zhuang-Jing is designated an "Energy Education" flagship school (能源教育重點學校) by Taiwan's energy-education network.
