Zhongzheng Senior High School was established on July 1, 1989 as Zhongzheng Junior High School, before becoming a full senior high school on July 1, 1996. Today the school enrolls about 1,109 students across a 32,400-square-meter campus near Weiwuying Metro Station, and has operated rooftop solar panels since 2017. Its name, "中正," honors Chiang Kai-shek — a common school-naming convention from Taiwan's martial-law era — and it sits in the dense, postwar urban fabric of Lingya District. This is a distinct institution from a similarly named elementary school elsewhere in Lingya and from an unrelated vocational high school in Qianzhen District.
中正高中創立於民國78年（1989年）7月1日，初為中正國中，民國85年（1996年）7月1日改制為完全高中。現有約1,109名學生，校地達32,400平方公尺，鄰近衛武營都會公園捷運站，並自2017年起設有屋頂太陽能發電設施。校名「中正」承襲戒嚴時期常見的命名慣例，以紀念蔣中正；校址座落於苓雅區戰後快速發展的都會地帶。本校與苓雅區另一所同名國小、以及前鎮區另一所無關的高工，皆為各自獨立的學校。
