Zhongyi Experimental Elementary School

Zhongyi Elementary School was built in 1966 as part of the government's redevelopment of the South Airport (南機場) public-housing complex, occupying floors two through five of a mixed-use building called "Zhongyi Building" that had a retail market on the ground floor. Taipei City reclaimed the ground-floor market space from vendors in 1976 and converted it into additional classrooms, and the Ministry of Education approved a dedicated judo class (柔道班) in 1991. Effective August 1, 2024, the school converted to a school-based experimental-education model and was renamed "Taipei Municipal Zhongyi Experimental Elementary School," reflecting Taiwan's broader push toward alternative and experimental public education.

忠義國小創立於民國55年（1966年），為政府南機場公共住宅整建計畫的一部分，校舍設於一棟複合式大樓「忠義樓」的二至五樓，一樓原為市場攤商使用。台北市政府於民國65年（1976年）收回一樓市場空間，改建為教室；民國80年（1991年）教育部核准設立柔道班。自民國113年（2024年）8月1日起，本校轉型為學校本位實驗教育，並更名為「臺北市忠義實驗國民小學」，反映台灣近年推動另類與實驗教育的趨勢。
