Zhongxi Elementary School

Zhongxi Elementary was founded on March 31, 1920, as "Chamuying Public School's Xiaojiaotui Branch," initially housed at Dakujian in Duenong Village. It became independent as "Xiaojiaotui Public School" in 1922, moved to its current site in 1936, and was renamed several times through the following decades before taking its current name, Zhongxi National Elementary School, on August 1, 1968. In 2020, it was officially recognized alongside Guoyi Elementary as one of Tainan's newest-certified "centenary elementary schools." Today it runs bilingual-education programming, holds Green Partner School certification for environmental education, and organizes mountain and wilderness education trips under a campus vision principal Jiang Wen-tong calls the "Green Light Forest Academy," with a particular focus on disaster-prevention education.

重溪國小創立於民國9年（1920年）3月31日，最初為「查畝營公學校小腳腿分校」，設於篤農村大窟墘。民國11年（1922年）獨立設校為「小腳腿公學校」，民國25年（1936年）遷至現址，歷經數次更名，於民國57年（1968年）8月1日改為現名「重溪國民小學」。2020年，學校與果毅國小同獲認證為臺南市最新的「百年小學」之一。如今學校推動雙語教育課程，取得環境教育「綠色夥伴學校」認證，並辦理登山野外教育活動（如合歡山、尖山埤）；姜文通校長更將校園打造成「綠光森林學園」，特別著重防災教育。
