Zhongshan Elementary School

Zhongshan Elementary traces its origins to August 1896, when it opened as the "Yilan Language Institute" (宜蘭國語傳習所) under Japanese colonial rule — making it one of Yilan County's oldest continuously operating schools, having celebrated its 130th anniversary. Over the following decades it was renamed several times — becoming Yilan Public School in 1898, Yilan City Asahi National School in 1941, and finally Zhongshan Elementary in 1968 — reflecting the successive eras of Taiwanese education. The school sits in the city center, adjacent to Yilan Elementary School and across from Zhongshan Park, with over 125 years of continuous operation.

中山國小最早可追溯至1896年8月成立的「宜蘭國語傳習所」，日治時期設立，是宜蘭縣歷史最悠久的學校之一，已慶祝建校130週年。歷經數次更名：1898年改為宜蘭公學校，1941年改為宜蘭市旭國民學校，1968年始定名為中山國民小學，見證了台灣教育各個時代的變遷。學校位於市中心，緊鄰宜蘭國小，並與中山公園相對，持續辦學超過125年。
