Zhonghe Junior High School

Zhonghe Junior High School was founded in August 1968 as the "Zhonghe Branch of Chiayi County Shuishang Junior High," with no campus of its own at first — classes borrowed rooms from Zhonghe Elementary School. Construction began in late 1968, and by May 1969 the northwest section of the "Ren'ai Building," including six classrooms and offices, two restrooms, a crafts room, and a home economics room, was complete. The school was formally renamed Zhonghe Junior High School in September 1969 and moved into its new campus, spanning approximately 16,025 square meters. Today the school offers technical/vocational skills curriculum with competition participation, gifted education and learning support programs, school bus transportation for its rural catchment, and a diverse lunch menu accommodating multiple food allergies.

忠和國中創立於民國57年（1968年）8月，最初名為「嘉義縣立水上國民中學忠和分部」，尚無獨立校舍，借用忠和國小教室上課。校舍工程於1968年底動工，至民國58年（1969年）5月，「仁愛大樓」西北側完工，含六間教室及辦公室、兩間廁所、一間工藝教室及一間家政教室。同年9月正式更名為嘉義縣立忠和國民中學並遷入新校舍，初期校地約16,025平方公尺。現今學校提供技藝教育課程並參與競賽，設有資優教育與學習扶助方案，為此偏鄉學區提供校車接送服務，並提供顧及多種食物過敏的多元午餐菜單。
