A school built for Maokong's tea-farming families.
Zhinan Experimental Elementary School opened in 1975 as "Taipei Muzha District Zhinan Elementary School," established specifically as a community school for the children of tea farmers in the Muzha Tieguanyin (鐵觀音) tea-growing region. It opened with six classes and 306 students, initially borrowing space from Muzha Elementary School.
The school's first-phase buildings — nine ordinary classrooms — were completed in August 1976, with music, science, and art rooms added the following year. It took its current name in March 1990, following the merger of the Muzha and Jingmei districts into Wenshan District.

What makes this school worth knowing.
🍵 Founded for Tea-Farming Families
為茶農子弟而創
Established specifically as a community school for the children of tea farmers in the Muzha Tieguanyin tea-growing region — the most direct link between any Wenshan school and Maokong's tea culture.
🏗️ Growing From Borrowed Space
從借址辦學起步
Opened in 1975 with just six classes, initially borrowing classroom space from Muzha Elementary School before its own campus was completed.
🔤 A Name Change With the District
隨行政區劃更名
Took its current name in March 1990, when the merger of the Muzha and Jingmei districts formally created today's Wenshan District.
The Maokong tea district's own school.
Zhinan Experimental Elementary is the Wenshan school most directly tied to the district's signature Maokong tea culture — it was founded explicitly to serve the children of Maokong-area tea farmers and sits at the base of the tea gardens served today by the Maokong Gondola.
