Tainan Municipal Zhikai Experimental Elementary School

Zhikai Experimental Elementary School was founded on April 3, 1948, as the "Tainan Air Force Dependents' Elementary School," established when Air Force supply units moved into the Tainan air base. It was later renamed for Zhou Zhikai, a celebrated fighter ace, and in 2017 it became an experimental elementary school alongside three other South District schools. The school marked its 70th anniversary with a "military village food fair" organized by its air-force-dependents alumni association, and has run active international exchange programs since 1997. A major campus rebuild — roughly 870 days of construction — deliberately designed the new school buildings to echo the architectural heritage of the site's original military dependents' village (眷村).

志開實小創立於1948年（民國37年）4月3日，初名「臺南空軍子弟小學」，因應空軍補給部隊進駐臺南空軍基地而設立，後以空軍戰鬥英雄周志開命名。2017年（民國106年）與南區另外三校一同改制為實驗小學。學校曾以「軍村美食展」慶祝創校70週年，由空軍眷村校友會籌辦，並自1997年起持續推動國際交流活動。校舍歷經約870天的大規模重建，新建築刻意呼應校地原有眷村的建築風貌。
