It is a small rural school with 6 elementary classes plus 1 kindergarten class, 24 staff, and a campus area of 9,844 square meters.
鎮海國小創立於1951年（民國40年），位於四草里——正是知名「四草綠色隧道」紅樹林水道所在的同一里。學校學區涵蓋四草與鹽田里，校名及學區劃分直接呼應當地歷史悠久的鹽業。這是一所小型鄉村學校，設有6個國小班級及1個幼兒園班，教職員24人，校地面積9,844平方公尺。
