A small school on Xinpu's rural edge.
Jhaomen Junior High School was founded in 1969 to serve Zhaomen, a hilly, rural corner of Xinpu Township bordering Longtan and Yangmei in neighboring Taoyuan. Despite its small size, the school earned the Ministry of Education's National Featured School Excellence Award in 2009–2010, and it takes an active role in the "Xiaoli Creek Alliance," a regional study-tour network connecting schools along the creek that runs through the area.
