National Yuli Senior High School

National Yuli Senior High School was established in August 1968, carved out from the senior-high division of the former Yuli County Junior-Senior High School. As the only senior high school in southern Hualien County, it serves as the sole option for local students continuing beyond junior high without leaving the region. Originally an academic-track-only school, it began adding vocational programs from 1971 onward — including Business, Home Economics, and even Stonemasonry and Quarrying, reflecting the area's historical stone industry — later followed by Accounting, Beauty Care, and athletics tracks, before becoming a comprehensive high school by 2000.

國立玉里高中創立於民國57年（1968年）8月，由原玉里縣立初高中的高中部獨立而來。作為花蓮縣南區唯一的高級中學，本校是當地學生升學不必離鄉背井的唯一選擇。學校最初僅設普通科，自民國60年（1971年）起陸續增設職業類科，包括商業科、家事科，以及反映當地石礦產業歷史的採礦科；其後又增設會計科、美容科與體育班，並於民國89年（2000年）轉型為綜合高中。
