Yufeng Elementary School

Yufeng Elementary opened in February 1920, during the Japanese colonial era, as the "Mariquwan Aboriginal Children's Education Institute." It was renamed Yufeng National School after 1945 and took its present name in 1968. More than a century old, it is one of the oldest schools in Jianshi Township with roots directly in Indigenous education, and all of its students are Atayal. Located deep in Yufeng Village near the scenic Cinsbu and Smangus mountain areas, the school has run a distinctive dance program since 2013, taught by a professional Amis dancer who travels from Hualien to teach the students.

玉峰國小創立於1920年2月（日治時期），初名「馬里闊丸蕃童教育所」，1945年後改稱玉峰國民學校，1968年更為現名。校史逾百年，是尖石鄉歷史最悠久、且與原住民教育直接相連的學校之一，全校學生皆為泰雅族。學校座落於玉峰村深處，鄰近秀巒（司馬庫斯、鎮西堡）等知名山區景點。自2013年起，學校開設特色舞蹈課程，由一位專程從花蓮前來的阿美族專業舞者授課。
