Yuanshulin Elementary School

Yuanshulin Elementary began in 1913 as a branch of Bakuaicuo Public School serving the Yuanshulin area, becoming independent in 1920 as Yuanshulin Public School. In 1921 it spun off its own branch, which later became Zhongxing Elementary. Today the school offers Vietnamese-language bilingual instruction for children of new immigrants, runs a campus-wide jump-rope curriculum, and has seen students place in math, English, and regional-language competitions. It celebrated its 110th anniversary with a NT$130 million campus-rebuilding project that replaced aging buildings.

員樹林國小創立於1913年（大正2年），原為八塊厝公學校在員樹林地區設立的分校，1920年（大正9年）獨立設校，定名為員樹林公學校。1921年學校再分出一所分校，日後獨立成為中興國小。目前學校開設越南語雙語課程，服務新住民子女，並推行全校性跳繩課程，學生曾在數學、英語及本土語言競賽中獲獎。學校於建校110週年時推動總經費達新台幣1.3億元的校舍重建計畫，汰換老舊建物。
