Yuanshan Junior High School

Yuanshan Junior High School was founded around 1957 and has spent more than six decades serving students in Yuanshan Township. The school has built a strong athletics tradition, fielding competitive teams in badminton, women's basketball, and cycling — its women's basketball team has even trained abroad in Susaka City, Japan. Beyond sport, the school offers mother-tongue and Indigenous language electives alongside sustainability-themed coursework, rounding out a curriculum that looks both locally and globally.

員山國中創立於約民國46年（1957年），逾一甲子以來持續服務員山鄉學子。學校建立起深厚的體育傳統，羽球隊、女子籃球隊與自由車隊皆具競爭實力——女籃隊甚至曾遠赴日本須坂市受訓。除體育外，學校亦開設母語與原住民族語選修課程，並搭配永續發展主題課程，讓教學內容兼顧在地與國際視野。
