Wenyuan Elementary School became an independent school in 1955, having started life the year before as a branch campus of Yuanli Elementary School — the township's oldest school. The school's main entrance was relocated from Zhongshan Road to Zhongxin Road in 1994, reflecting the community's changing layout over the decades. Today it continues to serve families in Fangli Village, part of the broader Yuanli community with its long educational history.
文苑國小於民國44年（1955年）獨立設校，前身為民國43年（1954年）設立的苑裡國小分校——苑裡鎮歷史最悠久的學校。學校正門於民國83年（1994年）由中山路遷移至中新路，反映當地社區數十年來的變化。如今學校持續服務房裡里的居民，延續苑裡深厚的教育傳統。
