Linsen Elementary School was established in 1966, about 4 km east of Yuanli's town center, bordering the Pingding area of neighboring Tongxiao Township. Its location is remote enough that no bus service reaches the school. Despite its small size and rural setting, Linsen offers a notably varied set of clubs, including judo, a health-exercise team, ocarina, dodgeball, and jazz drumming.
