A school named by its own community.
Yong-Shun Elementary's planning was approved by the Taoyuan County Government in September 2001, and its name was chosen by a vote of local residents in March 2002. An architectural design contract was awarded to You Ming-guo Architects in October 2002, and the campus master plan was completed that December. The school was formally established on May 5, 2004, with enrollment beginning August 1, 2004. Tong Zheng-xian, then-principal of Bei-Men Elementary, served concurrently as preparatory principal during the planning phase. The school opened a non-profit affiliated preschool in October 2018, and is currently on its fourth principal, Lin Pei-juan, who has served since August 2024.
永順國小的籌設計畫於民國90年（2001年）9月經桃園縣政府核准，校名於2002年3月由地方居民票選產生。建築設計案於2002年10月委由游明國建築師事務所承接，校園規劃於同年12月完成。學校於民國93年（2004年）5月5日正式成立，同年8月1日開始招生。籌備期間由時任北門國小校長童振賢兼任籌備處主任。學校於2018年10月開辦非營利幼兒園，現任第四任校長林佩娟自2024年8月起接任。
