Chenggong Elementary opened in 1921 during the Japanese colonial era as the "Luodong Girls' Public School," passing through several name changes before settling on its current name. The school celebrated its centennial around 2021 and has preserved its historic principal's residence and old auditorium as heritage sites on campus. Today it serves roughly 942 students, including an attached kindergarten, and runs an arts-talent class, a PE class, and resource classes for students with special needs.
成功國小創立於日治時期民國10年（1921年），初名「羅東女子公學校」，其後歷經數次更名，最終定為現名。學校於約民國110年（2021年）舉辦建校百週年慶祝活動，並保存了歷史悠久的校長宿舍與舊禮堂作為文化資產。目前全校約942名學生，附設幼兒園，並設有美術班、體育班及資源班。
