The only "Yixian" school in Taiwan.
Preparation for Yixian Elementary began in February 1957 under the planned name "Datun Elementary School," but the school actually opened as "Zhongshan Elementary School." It was renamed 逸仙國小 in March 1973 by the Taipei City Department of Education, honoring Sun Yat-sen (孫逸仙) — making it the only school in Taiwan carrying that name. Its first principal was Wang Fang-lan, succeeded by Jin Xin-hua in the school's 55th academic year.
