National Yilan Senior High School

National Yilan Senior High School opened on April 1, 1942 as "Taihoku Prefectural Yilan Middle School," during the Japanese colonial era, and has served as one of Yilan City's principal college-preparatory schools ever since. It was reorganized as a national school in February 2000. Set on a nearly 8-hectare campus, the school has built a long-standing reputation for academic rigor, running one of Yilan County's earliest gifted math and science classes since 1989 and, more recently, launching the eastern region's first Science Experimental Class in 2021. On-campus dormitories house students who commute from outside the county.

國立宜蘭高級中學創立於民國31年（1942年）4月1日，日治時期名為「臺北州立宜蘭中學」，長年以來是宜蘭市升學教育的重要學府之一，於民國89年（2000年）2月改制為國立高中。校地將近7.92公頃，學校在學術表現上向來嚴謹，自民國78年（1989年）起設有宜蘭縣最早期的數理資優班之一，並於2021年開辦東部地區第一個科學實驗班。校內設有學生宿舍，供外縣市通勤不便的學生入住。
