Yanzhou Elementary School

Yanzhou Elementary serves Yandu Village in Xinyuan Township — the village name "鹽洲" (Salt Shoal) reflects the area's historically brackish, salt-affected land near the mouth of the Gaoping River. For a time, the school ran its own branch, Zhongxing Branch School (中興分校), which was downgraded to a branch classroom in 1980 and closed entirely in 1986. Today the main school continues on, with an attached preschool/kindergarten serving local families in this riverside agricultural landscape.

鹽洲國小服務新園鄉鹽洲村——村名「鹽洲」正呼應高屏溪出海口一帶歷史上鹽份較高、偏鹹的沿海土地特徵。學校曾設有自己的分校「中興分校」，該分校於1980年（民國69年）降格為分班，並於1986年（民國75年）完全裁撤。如今本校持續辦學，並附設學前教育機構/幼兒園，服務這片高屏溪畔農業地景中的在地家庭。
