Tainan Municipal Yanping Junior High School

Yanping Junior High School was established on November 16, 1957, as "Tainan Municipal Yanping Junior High School," growing out of a 1956 branch of Tainan Municipal Junior High — today's Dacheng Junior High — set up at Zhengziliao in North District. It took its current name in 1968. The school established a supplementary school in 1995, and in 2001 hosted the founding of a Tainan Community College branch on its campus as part of city policy, extending its role beyond regular secondary education. Yanping also maintains an active alumni association.

延平國中於1957年（民國46年）11月16日創校，初名「臺南市立延平初級中學」，源自1956年（民國45年）於北區鄭子寮設立的臺南市立初級中學（今大成國中）分校，1968年（民國57年）定名為延平國中。1995年（民國84年）附設補校，2001年（民國90年）依市府政策於校內成立臺南社區大學分部，使學校在正規中學教育之外也扮演社區教育的角色。延平國中並設有活躍的校友會。
