Yangmingshan Elementary School

Yangmingshan Elementary School was founded on March 31, 1917, and celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2017 — one of the oldest schools in the Yangmingshan mountain area itself, predating the modern national park by decades. Built into the hillside along Yangde Boulevard, the campus features colorful, terraced architecture that follows the natural slope. It is home to a beloved elephant-shaped slide that predates 1961 and remains a nostalgic photo spot for alumni, some of whom return for wedding photos or reunions decades later, as well as old camphor trees, with one specimen — nicknamed "Camphor Grandfather" — reported to be around 117 years old.

陽明山國小創立於大正6年（1917年）3月31日，並於民國106年（2017年）舉辦建校百年校慶——是陽明山地區歷史最悠久的學校之一，其歷史甚至早於現今國家公園設立數十年。校舍依山勢建於仰德大道旁，以色彩繽紛的階梯式建築聞名。校內著名的大象溜滑梯建於1961年之前，至今仍是校友懷舊拍照的熱門景點，不少人數十年後仍返校拍攝婚紗照或同學會合照；校園老樟樹中，一棵暱稱「樟樹爺爺」的老樹據傳已有約117年樹齡。
