Xuedong Elementary School

Xuedong Elementary was established in August 1967 as a branch class of Nanxing Elementary School, initially holding classes in a borrowed public building known as a "公厝" (village ancestral/public hall) — literally starting inside a community hall before any dedicated schoolhouse existed. It became a fully independent school in 1978. The school's origin as a single borrowed-hall branch class reflects the modest, dispersed hamlet settlement pattern of 1960s Annan District, a common pattern for several Annan elementary schools that started as branches of older "mother schools" before growing large enough to become independent.

學東國小於1967年（民國56年）8月，以南興國小分班形式創立，最初借用村落的「公厝」作為第一間教室，可說是名符其實從村落公共空間起步。1978年（民國67年）正式獨立設校。學東國小的起點——借用單一公厝空間的分班——反映出1960年代安南區聚落分散、規模不大的墾殖型態，也是安南多所國小共有的發展模式：先作為「母校」的分校，人口成長後才獨立設校。
