Xixi Elementary began in September 1951 as a branch of Huxi National School, becoming an independent school in August 1958 and taking its current name in 1968. It opened with four classes and 167 students, growing to nine classes and 240 students by 1969 — rapid growth for a young rural school. Today its district covers both Xixi and Hongluo villages.
西溪國小於民國40年（1951年）9月創校，最初為湖西國小的分校，民國47年（1958年）8月獨立設校，民國57年（1968年）定名為現名。創校之初共4個班級、167名學生，至民國58年（1969年）成長為9個班級、240名學生，對一所新設的鄉村小學而言成長相當迅速。現今學區涵蓋西溪與紅羅兩個村里。
