Xinzhuang Elementary School was founded on May 21, 1923, during the Japanese colonial era, and recently marked its centennial after more than a hundred years of continuous operation. The campus is home to two officially registered heritage camphor trees (老樟樹), each over a century old, which have shaded generations of students who have passed through the school. Xinzhuang's academic reputation is well established: it won the Ministry of Education's Silver Award for Teaching Excellence in 2014, and was recognized as a Ministry of Education Life Education Featured School in 2017.
新庄國小創立於大正12年（1923年）5月21日日治時期，近年舉辦建校滿百歲慶祝活動，見證逾百年的辦學歷程。校園內有兩棵列冊登記的珍貴老樟樹，樹齡皆逾百年，為一代代學子遮蔭。學校辦學成果亦獲肯定：民國103年（2014年）榮獲教育部教學卓越銀質獎，民國106年（2017年）獲教育部評選為生命教育特色學校。
