Xinwu Senior High School

Xinwu Senior High School traces its roots to a 1955 preparatory committee and a 1956 branch campus of Yangmei Middle School, becoming an independent junior high in 1957 as "Taoyuan County Xinwu Junior Middle School." It was reorganized under nine-year compulsory education in 1968, renamed a municipal junior high in 2014 after Taoyuan County's upgrade to special-municipality status, and finally became a full senior high school (完全中學) in 2017, enrolling its first tenth-grade class that August. Today it runs both academic and physical-education tracks at the senior-high level alongside its long-standing junior-high division, and stands as the only comprehensive public high school in Xinwu District — a single campus drawing students from the district's many small Hakka farming-village elementary and junior high schools.

新屋高中的校史可追溯至1955年的籌備委員會，以及1956年楊梅中學新屋分部，並於1957年獨立設校，稱「桃園縣立新屋初級中學」。1968年配合九年國教改制，2014年桃園縣升格直轄市後更名為市立新屋國中，並於2017年（民國106年）改制為完全中學，同年8月招收第一屆高一新生。如今學校同時開設高中部的學術班與體育班，並持續辦理國中部教育，是新屋區唯一的公立完全中學，匯集了區內北湖、大坡、頭洲等眾多小型客家農村小學、國中畢業生。
