Xinshan Elementary School

Xinshan Elementary marked its 60th anniversary in March 2025 with a joint school-and-community sports day, attended by Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che, education-bureau deputy director Wang Kunyuan, and roughly 500 guests — the event doubled as a ribbon-cutting for the school's new "Heart-Bell Plaza" (心鈴廣場). Working from that milestone, the school's founding is best placed at around 1965, though an exact founding date could not be independently confirmed from available records. In the lead-up to the anniversary, the school invited alumnus Wang Yang-chih, a former Tainan deputy secretary-general from its ninth graduating class, to speak on character education and gratitude, and held a student showcase titled "I Am the Main Show" (我就是主秀).

新山國小於2025年3月舉辦創校60週年校慶運動會，結合校內與社區同樂，由臺南市長黃偉哲、教育局副局長王崑源等貴賓與約500人共同參與，同時為新啟用的「心鈴廣場」揭幕剪綵。以此60週年推算，創校年份約落在民國54年（1965年）前後，惟確切創校時間目前尚無法從現有資料完全確認。校慶前夕，學校特別邀請第九屆畢業校友、曾任臺南市副秘書長的王揚智返校演講「品格力—感恩」，並舉辦「我就是主秀」學生成果發表會。
