Xinming Junior High School

Xinming Junior High began in 1956 as a branch of Yangmei Middle School, becoming an independent school, Taoyuan County Xinming Junior Middle School, in 1959, and taking its present name in 1968. In 1958 the school purchased its current campus site from the former Provincial College of Law and Commerce. It became municipal on December 25, 2014. Historically, Xinming is the "parent" school that later spun off both Neili Junior High and Dalun Junior High as independent institutions, making it one of the oldest junior-high roots in central Zhongli.

新明國中創立於民國45年（1956年），最初為楊梅中學的新明分部，1959年獨立設校，改名為桃園縣立新明初級中學；1968年更名為新明國民中學。1958年購入前省立法商學院校地作為現址。2014年12月25日改制為市立學校。新明國中在歷史上是內壢國中與大崙國中的「母校」，是中壢中部歷史最悠久的國中根源之一。
