Xinmin Junior High School

Xinmin Junior High was built on the site of the former Beitou baseball field and opened its doors on September 9, 1968. With a campus of 42,618 ping, it is the second-largest junior-high campus in Taipei. Its name — along with those of sister schools Mingde Junior High and Zhishan Junior High — was drawn from the opening line of the Confucian classic The Great Learning: "The Way of great learning lies in illuminating bright virtue, in renewing the people, and in resting in the highest good" (大學之道，在明明德，在親民，在止於至善). The school's three main teaching buildings are named 敬業樓, 科學樓, and 工藝樓.

新民國中創校於民國57年（1968年），校址原為北投棒球場舊址，於同年9月9日開學。校地面積達42,618坪，是臺北市第二大的國中校地。校名與姊妹校明德國中、至善國中皆取自《大學》開篇「大學之道，在明明德，在親民，在止於至善」之義。校內設有敬業樓、科學樓、工藝樓三棟主要教學大樓。
