Xingtang Elementary School

Xingtang Elementary was established on September 1, 1947, by the Taiwan Sugar Corporation to educate the children of workers at the Ciaotou Sugar Refinery, initially covering grades 1 through 4. It was transferred to government administration and renamed in 1968, when the Taiwan Sugar Corporation divested its company schools nationwide. Nicknamed the "magical forest school of nine-and-three-quarters," it uses the refinery's historic colonial-era architecture, along with old trains and sugar carts, as hands-on teaching resources.

興糖國小於1947年（民國36年）9月1日由台灣糖業公司創立，最初設有1至4年級，供橋頭糖廠員工子弟就讀。1968年台糖公司釋出全國各地的員工子弟學校，學校移交政府接管並更名。學校暱稱為「九又四分之三的魔法森林小學」，善用糖廠日治時期的歷史建築，以及舊時的火車與糖業台車作為體驗式教材。
