Two branch classes, merged into one independent school.
Xingren Elementary originated from two branch classes of Shiquan Elementary, established in Xingren and Wukan villages in 1950 and merged in 1952. It became a fully independent school in August 1956 as "興仁國民學校," opening with 6 classes and 278 students, and took its current name in 1968. Despite its name, the school is actually physically located in Wukan Village rather than Xingren Village — a quirk of the merger that formed it.

The school's 1956 founding merged branch classes first set up in 1950, reflecting how many of Penghu's rural schools grew step by step from smaller teaching posts.

Xingren Elementary serves Xingren and Wukan villages, a rural fishing-adjacent part of Magong City near the airport — communities where daily life has long followed the rhythms of the sea. See the Penghu county page for more on the region.
