Xifu Elementary is a public elementary school in Guangfu Township's Xifu Village. The school built a schoolyard sports field around 1998, giving generations of students a home base for physical education and community events. More distinctively, Xifu Elementary has been featured in a newspaper-in-education program for its work on local ecological conservation — specifically, protecting the fireflies and bats that live in the surrounding countryside — connecting classroom learning to the natural environment right outside the school gates.
