Xiaying Junior High School

What is now Xiaying Junior High began in August 1956 (民國45年) as the Xiaying branch of Tainan County Zengwen Junior High School. It became independent as "台南縣立下營初級中學" in 1960, and was renamed "台南縣立下營國民中學" in 1968. The school sits in the heart of Xiaying's farmland, a short drive from the goose-meat restaurants that line Highway 19A, one of the district's best-known culinary trademarks. It runs a dedicated maker space (創客教室) alongside standard science and computer labs, uses digital learning platforms including "翰林雲端學院" and the Ministry of Education's adaptive-learning network "因材網," and serves only domestically sourced pork and beef at meals. A student recently won special-excellence recognition at the 57th World Children's Painting Exhibition.

下營國中前身為民國45年（1956年）8月設立的台南縣立曾文初級中學下營分部，民國49年（1960年）獨立設校，定名「台南縣立下營初級中學」，民國57年（1968年）改稱「台南縣立下營國民中學」。學校座落於下營農業精華地帶，鄰近19甲線知名鵝肉美食一條街。校內設有創客教室，搭配一般理化與電腦教室，並運用「翰林雲端學院」及教育部因材網等數位學習平台，學校午餐全面採用國產豬肉與牛肉。一名學生近期於第57屆世界兒童畫展榮獲特優肯定。
