Xiaogang Senior High was approved for establishment in 1990 and formally founded in 1992, welcoming its first freshman class that August. The campus was built out in phases through 1998, and in 2010 students founded their own baseball team — sports culture growing alongside the school's build-out.
小港高中於民國79年（1990年）核准設立，民國81年（1992年）正式創校，同年8月迎來第一屆新生。校園歷經多階段擴建，至民國87年（1998年）完成，民國99年（2010年）學生自組棒球隊，為建校歷程增添運動色彩。
