A century-old school shaped by tribal seasons.
Wuta Elementary was founded in 1921 during the Japanese colonial era, making it a "century-old school." The school is connected to the historical story behind "Sayon's Bell" (莎韻之鐘), a well-known Japanese colonial-era tale involving a local Atayal girl. Today it practices Tayal Indigenous Experimental Education, following a four-semester calendar aligned with traditional tribal seasonal life. The school maintains a Tayal cultural farming plot on campus and built a traditional Atayal ancestral house with guidance from tribal elders.
