Wumei Junior High is located in a remote part of Tongxiao Township, with local education roots tracing back to a 1918 branch school in Wuweikeng. The school won the 2020 "Reading Cornerstone and Featured School" national award, built on a three-pillar reading curriculum spanning popular-science reading, internationalized reading, and community-outreach reading.
