Built to serve a growing neighborhood.
Wulun Junior High began preparations in 1996 and officially opened in 1997 under founding principal Chen Wenzong, enrolling its first students as the Wulun area's population grew. The school initially borrowed classrooms from Anle Junior High before moving into the old Wulun Elementary buildings that November. Its own dedicated campus buildings were completed in 2006. The school's motto, "勤樸展新" (diligence, simplicity, and renewal), reflects its identity as a still-young institution built for a developing community.

Part of Anle's growing Wulun neighborhood.
Wulun Junior High sits in the 武崙 (Wulun) area of Anle District, a neighborhood that expanded enough in the 1990s to need its own dedicated junior high — a small window into Keelung's suburban growth in that era. See the Keelung county page for more on the region.
