Six decades of secondary education in Wujie.

Wujie Junior High opened in 1956 as a branch of Luodong Junior High, borrowing classrooms from Wujie Elementary School so local children would not have to travel far for secondary schooling. It moved to its own campus in 1958, became fully independent in 1960, and took its current name in 1968. The school marked its 60th anniversary in 2020, and underwent a major campus reconstruction beginning in 1997. Today it is known for its strength in rowing, music and the arts, and Indigenous language competitions.
