Grown alongside the Wuhan neighborhood.
Wuhan Elementary began in 1977 as "Longtan Elementary School Wuhan Branch," becoming independent the following year as Taoyuan County Longtan Township Wuhan Elementary School, with first principal Liu Zhi-an taking office at independence. The school built a dedicated gymnastics hall, the "桃園體操館" (Taoyuan Gymnastics Hall), completed on campus in 2005 — a notable athletics facility for an elementary school. Multiple building expansions followed through the 1980s to 2000s, including an information and computing building and the "智傑樓" building complex, which added elevator access in 2000.
