As the highest level of schooling available within Wufeng Township, it serves as the educational capstone for the township's two Indigenous communities. As of 2018, 100 percent of its students were Indigenous, with a majority Atayal population alongside Saisiyat students. In 2020, the school received the Ministry of Education's Silver Award for Teaching Excellence for a curriculum that weaves together Atayal and Saisiyat culture with local economic life, technology, and the arts.
