Over a century of educating Wufeng's children.
Wufeng Elementary was founded in 1911, during the Japanese colonial era, under the name "十八兒蕃童教育所" — the Shibaer Aboriginal Children's Educational Institute. Now more than a century old, the school has continuously served Saisiyat and Atayal children since its founding. Its catchment area is unusually large and scattered, covering the settlements of Shibaer, Linjiazhuang, Wufeng, Dai, Gaofeng, and Maopu, plus several outlying communities — with some students commuting up to 25 minutes by car, or as long as 1.5 hours on foot, to reach the campus.
五峰國小創立於明治44年（1911年），日治時期名為「十八兒蕃童教育所」。如今創校已逾百年，自創校以來持續教育賽夏族與泰雅族孩童。學校的招生範圍異常廣闊且分散，涵蓋十八兒、林家莊、五峰、大隱、高峰、茅圃等聚落，以及數個更為偏遠的社區——部分學生需開車通勤約25分鐘，或徒步長達1.5小時才能抵達校園。
