Wenya Elementary School

Wenya Elementary was officially approved as a new school in March 2005, with construction completed in mid-2008 and classes opening that October on a campus spanning about 1.894 hectares. As the newest of the East District's schools, it was the first public elementary school in Chiayi City to establish an "International Education Group," running video-conference student exchanges with schools in multiple countries — a program that has since earned it national recognition.

文雅國小於民國94年（2005年）3月獲准籌設，民國97年（2008年）年中完工，同年10月開學，校地約1.894公頃。身為東區最新設立的學校，文雅國小是嘉義市第一所成立「國際教育組」的公立國小，透過視訊會議與多國學校進行學生交流，這項課程也因此獲得全國性肯定。
