A salt-road school with an international reach.

Wangliao Elementary School was established in September 1952 as a branch of Longgang National School, called "Longgang National School Wangliao Branch." It became independent in September 1960 as Wangliao National School, and was renamed Wangliao Elementary School in September 1968. The school runs international cultural exchange with Nan Chiao Primary School in Singapore and participates in the "Reading Cornerstone Plan" for literacy promotion. It also offers environmental education, disaster prevention programs, bilingual and native-language education, plus an attached kindergarten.

網寮國小創立於民國41年(1952年)9月,最初為龍岡國民學校網寮分校,於民國49年(1960年)9月獨立設校為網寮國民學校,並於民國57年(1968年)9月改稱網寮國民小學。學校與新加坡南僑小學展開國際文化交流,並參與「磐石方案」推動閱讀素養。學校亦提供環境教育、防災教育、雙語與本土語言教育,並附設幼兒園。
