Zhongshan Elementary School

Zhongshan Elementary was established on October 13, 1952, as a branch of Taoyuan Elementary School, becoming fully independent in 1954. It has since grown into the largest elementary school by enrollment in all of Taoyuan City, with over 100 classes packed onto a campus of only about 20,066 square meters — making it the city's most densely populated school site. The school itself spun off two further schools, Longshan Elementary in 1969 and Wenshan Elementary in 1981, both now independent institutions in the district. It celebrated its 70th anniversary with a ceremony attended by the mayor.

中山國小創立於民國41年（1952年）10月13日，最初是桃園國小的分校，民國43年（1954年）獨立設校。如今學校已發展為桃園市全市在學人數最多的國小，校地僅約20,066平方公尺卻擠進逾百個班級，是全市學生密度最高的校園。中山國小本身也曾分出龍山國小（1969年）與文山國小（1981年）兩所學校，如今皆已獨立設校。學校曾舉辦70週年校慶，市長親自出席。
