Xinzhuang Elementary began on April 3, 1974 as a branch class of Dazhu Elementary School under Principal Huang Yizhi, becoming an independent school on August 1, 1977 under founding principal Kang Shijun. One of the newer of Luzhu's elementary schools, it has had nine principals to date, with current principal Lin Laili taking office in August 2025. The campus sits amid farmland in Xinzhuang Village, described locally as having a peaceful, rural character.
新莊國小於民國63年（1974年）4月3日以大竹國小分校形式創立，首任分校主任為黃義智，民國66年（1977年）8月1日獨立設校，創校校長為康世峻。作為蘆竹區較晚設立的國小之一，歷任校長已達九位，現任校長林來麗自民國114年（2025年）8月上任。校園位於新莊村內，四周農田環繞，環境寧靜純樸。

Xinzhuang Elementary's relatively late founding in the 1970s reflects Luzhu District's continued rural population growth even as neighboring Nankan was already urbanizing rapidly toward the airport corridor. Located in the Xinzhuang farming village, the school is another branch of the Dazhu Elementary lineage that anchors one of Luzhu's three historic settlement cores.
