Xinyi Elementary School

Xinyi Elementary operated as a branch campus from August 1978 before being formally approved as an independent school in August 1982. It was founded specifically to relieve overcrowding at three existing Zhongli-area schools — Xinjie, Zhongli, and Longgang Elementary Schools — amid the district's rapid population growth. The school started with only four classrooms and one restroom, completing its first major construction phase in August 1980. In its early years, it briefly loaned classroom space to the newly founded Dongxing Junior High School (1985) before Dongxing's own campus was ready.

信義國小自1978年8月起以分校形式運作，1982年8月正式獲准獨立設校。設校的初衷是為紓解中壢地區三所學校——新街國小、中壢國小、龍岡國小——因人口快速成長而產生的就學壓力。創校初期僅有四間教室及一間廁所，1980年8月完成第一階段主要工程。創校初期，學校也曾短暫借用教室給1985年新設立的東興國中，直到東興自有校舍完工。
