Ruiyuan Elementary was established in April 1922, giving it more than a century of history. Local history writers have documented it under the tag "#118 Ruiyuan Elementary 1922 — Yangmei, Taoyuan — a century-old railway school," a nod to its front gate sitting directly beside Taiwan's main north-south rail line, with farmland surrounding the campus on three sides. The school covers a total area of 26,586 square meters and today runs six elementary classes and one kindergarten class, serving roughly 95 students — a genuinely small school with a genuinely long history.
